As Managing Director of the German-British Society Rhein-Main, Michael Gehrig, one of the initiators of the PolECulE project, was recently interviewed by FNP (Frankfurter Neue Presse) regarding his opinion on Great Britain’s plan to leave the European Union.
In the interview published last March 25, 2019, Michael Gehrig states that he personally opposes Brexit and suspects that the British public would agree if there was a second public vote. Also the majority of British citizens residing in the Rhein-Main area, he adds, are against Brexit and are afraid of losing, amongst others, the right to move freely and the original value of retirement provisions and life insurance tied to the British Pound if Great Britain actually left the European Union.
